The Dinner Roll

A Family Conversation Game That's Baked Fresh Each Week!

Each roll is hot out of the oven and ties directly to what kids are learning with Mayfield Road Kids. Whether you’re baking the bread or just passing the butter - The Dinner Roll helps families connect with each other and live God's Story - one bite-sized conversation at a time.

And this roll never goes stale, so you can leave it on the table to keep your dinner conversations hot and fresh all school-year long.

How to Play:

  • Download and print The Dinner Roll HERE. Printed copies are available in the Preschool Suite.
  • Take turns rolling The Dinner Roll (First one to the table gets the first roll!)
  • Match your roll to the number below and turn dinner into something better than a food fight! So gather ‘round the table and pass the rolls!
  • Answer this question: If you could only have ONE Easter candy in your Easter basket for the rest of your life, what would it be?

  • Answer this question: What was your favorite part about Easter with our family?

  •

Use things on the table to tell the story of Easter in your own words. (Make utensils into a cross, bunch up your napkin into a tomb, use your dinner roll to roll the stone away, etc.) Then answer: what did Jesus do for us? What does it mean to you?

  • Say the MVOTM like a sloth. Suuuuupppppeeeeerrrrrr sllllllooooowwwww.

Jesus came down to be born as a little baby. He lived a perfect life. He died on the cross for our sins. He was buried in a tomb, and on the third day, He rose from the dead, and He's coming back again! And that's the Gospel truth!

  • Make a quick “HAPPY EASTER!” video message and text it to three people. (If you roll again, you have to make a new video and send it to three NEW people!)
