The Dinner Roll

A Family Conversation Game That's Baked Fresh Each Week!

Each roll is hot out of the oven and ties directly to what kids are learning with Mayfield Road Kids. Whether you’re baking the bread or just passing the butter - The Dinner Roll helps families connect with each other and live God's Story - one bite-sized conversation at a time.

And this roll never goes stale, so you can leave it on the table to keep your dinner conversations hot and fresh all school-year long.

How to Play:

  • Download and print The Dinner Roll HERE. Printed copies are available in the Preschool Suite.
  • Take turns rolling The Dinner Roll (First one to the table gets the first roll!)
  • Match your roll to the number below and turn dinner into something better than a food fight! So gather ‘round the table and pass the rolls!
  •

Play “High-Five or Thumbs-Down” — each person says one thing worth a high-five and one thing they’d give a thumbs-down. The person who rolled goes first.

  •

Name three friends. Brainstorm one way you can show God’s love to these friends this week.

  • God wants to talk with us. Pass around a “prayer stick” (like a spoon) — whoever holds it shares a short prayer.

  • Grab a spoon, a fork, or a piece of asparagus, and turn it into your microphone or electric guitar because it’s showtime! Sing the MVOTM any way you want. Make up a tune, sing it like opera, or perform like your favorite artist.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. Matthew 6:33

Everyone plays! How much food can you pile onto your fork or spoon without any of it falling off? See who can get the highest pile.
