The Dinner Roll

A Family Conversation Game That's Baked Fresh Each Week!

Each roll is hot out of the oven and ties directly to what kids are learning with Mayfield Road Kids. Whether you’re baking the bread or just passing the butter - The Dinner Roll helps families connect with each other and live God's Story - one bite-sized conversation at a time.

And this roll never goes stale, so you can leave it on the table to keep your dinner conversations hot and fresh all school-year long.

How to Play:

  • Download and print The Dinner Roll HERE. Printed copies are available in the Preschool Suite.
  • Take turns rolling The Dinner Roll (First one to the table gets the first roll!)
  • Match your roll to the number below and turn dinner into something better than a food fight! So gather ‘round the table and pass the rolls!
  • Answer this question: What is one thing you did today that made someone else’s day better?

  • Answer this question: If you were having a party, who would be your top three people to invite (and one person it’d be hard for you to invite)?

  • God is good. What is one thing you can do this week to remind yourself that God always keeps His promises.

  • The person who rolled “conducts” the family with a spoon or fork, pointing to who should say the next part of the verse.

"God is not a man, that He might lie, or a son of man, that He might change His mind. Does He speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?" Numbers 23:19

  • Close your eyes, hold your nose, and ask someone to put a bite of food in your mouth. See if you can name what it is without seeing it.
